THIS IS NOT A RE-ISSUE
And again, I have to confess to being totally gutted that I have to sell this. It’s a stunning, vintage Marshall 100-Watt head, the first with master volume and boy does it shout! This amp produces a classic tone and has a bass response that you just don’t find on modern amps. If it's that vintage eighties sound you're after, then look no further. This is a real vintage eighties amp!
The amp has been regularly serviced by me. Apart from other stuff, I’m a musical instruments service engineer and I just love valve amps. I maintain a spreadsheet and all of my amps have their valves changed regularly. I always buy my valves from Derek at Watford Valves, who I’ve known for decades and he always gives me the best matched quads.
Unfortunately for me but potentially fortunate for you, I also have my beloved 1971 1959 Super Lead for sale at the moment as well as my 1959 Randy Rhodes Signature Series re-issue. I also have a 1960A 4 x 12 (slanted) cab and a complete stack comprising a 1960A cab and a 1960B cab for sale. The cabs are loaded with stock Celestion G12-T75 speakers which are the more contemporary type and don’t sound like the Vintage 30 speakers.
During the time that I’ve had the amps, they’ve never been gigged.
