Formed in 2013, The Vaulted Skies deliver an energetic blend of Gothic rock and dance music. With a dark feel to their songs, the supporting soundscape is dense and filled with an abundance of sounds which keeps the listener’s attention. Lyrics are superbly written to very catchy melodies or perhaps on occasion, the other way around but again with that underlying exciting backing from the band’s instruments. You will hear undertones of Americana, Reggae, Funk, Latin and Bluegrass amongst their all-original material. Since 2010 Sweetcornbread has been performing at independent festivals and venues across the UK. Jamie Maritz is a young, local singer / songwriter currently studying music and music production at the Watford campus of West Herts College. Jamie tells us that his songs are inspired from the world around him. His lyrics are sometimes deep reflections of his own life and the life of friends and family. Other times, Jamie will just put stuff together for fun. Either way, you just can’t help but listen to what he’s saying. With a traditional acoustic, kind of folk style to his guitar, vocally, Jamie is anything but traditional. With a very contemporary ‘street’ style to...Read More
